Week of May 6-10

Literacy: Next week K-2 will be doing literacy assessments for the end of the year.

Math: Kindergarten will be working Comparing sizes and using a balance to weigh items. 1st grade will continue to practice two digit addition and subtraction using manipulatives. 2nd grade will be exploring length and word problems with lengths of shapes.

Science/social studies: We will be continuing our plant unit on what they need to survive. We are working on preparing our presentations for Showcase Night.

Field Trip to the Zoo Wednesday, 5/29 8:50-3:30 Permission slip and lunch ordering form are coming home today. Please return as soon as possible. No money is needed for this trip thanks to the Kohl’s Grant. If your are interested in chaperoning mark the form and we will get back to you.

During the last 26 days of school the K-2 classroom will be doing a ABC countdown to summer break. Each day will be a special Letter day.

4/29 Monday - Bring a stuffed FURRY animal

4/30 Tuesday - Game Day

5/1 Wednesday - Wear your favorite HAT

5/2 Thursday - ICE POPs (If anyone is willing to donate ice pops Please email us)

5/3 Friday - Joke day
