Week of February 5th-9th
Math- Kindergarten will be working on partners of ten and creating math mountains to show fact families. We will also be introduced to 3d shapes. First grade will be working on adding with multiples of ten and doing story problems. We will also be reviewing 3d shapes. Second grade will be working on two step story problems and reviewing addition and subtraction facts.
Literacy- We have completed the F&P literacy testing. Our next focus will be on asking and answering questions within a text, and we will be reviewing main idea and detail.
Project Time- Next week our focus will be on America. K & 1st will focus on American Symbols, and 2nd will focus on American Citizenship.

Our cohort will be celebrating the 100th day of school next Tuesday. Please send ten pieces of a snack in a Ziploc bag to use for a trail mix snack for the class (10 cheerios, 10 pretzels, 10 crackers, etc). We will also be doing other fun 100th day activities, involving math, writing, movement, and reading.
The K-2 teachers will be at a reading convention and meetings next Thursday and Friday. We will all have substitute teachers. If you need to get a hold of us, please contact Rachel Maas.
Wednesday, February 14th- k-2 Valentine's Day Party. First grade will be asked to provide snacks. We're asking that you not write names on Valentine's to make passing them out go more smoothly.There are 51 students. If you have a first graders, watch for the sign up genius link in your email.
