Literacy: Next week we will be continuing to learn about asking and answering questions using holiday read alouds. Kindergarten sight words are: play, what, this.

Math: Kindergarten will be working on groups of ten and addition and subtraction through 5. 1st grade will be working on adding teen numbers, and doubles facts. 2nd grade will be working on measuring shapes and being introduced to 3d shapes and their attributes.

Science: We will be continuing with PLTW unit called The Changing Earth. We will be learning about erosion and discussing what it looks like and why it happens. We will be making a model showing erosion (what it looks like and how it effects the land).

Weekly Updates:

Once snow is on the ground, please make sure to send snow pants and boots with your child. If they do not have snow pants and boots, they will have to stand on the blacktop. Please make sure your child brings a hat and mittens everyday.

Toy Drive- Bring in unwrapped new toys anytime between 11/26-12/12.

12/20-Holiday Concert at i4L 2:00 & 6:30

12/21 K-2 Holiday Party. First graders will be asked to bring in treats in for the party. A sign up genius link will be sent out closer to the party

12/21- Regift event in gym 1:00-3:00. We’re looking for volunteers to help with setting up, wrapping presents, etc. Please call the office to let Mrs. Maas know you’re interested. Thank you!!
