Week of December 17th-21st

Literacy: Next week we will be continuing to learn about asking and answering questions using holiday read alouds. Kindergarten sight words will be: have

Math: Kindergarten will be working on on building with shapes, and sorting and classifying. 1st grade will be working on building two digit numbers with tens and ones. 2nd grade will be working on measuring items with centimeters. We will be using that data to make line plots. They will also be purchasing items within a budget to make a gingerbread house.

Science: We will be concluding and reflecting on our PLTW unit on The Changing Earth. We will also be making cards for people in the nursing home to show our generosity.

Weekly Updates:

There has been a large number of students on the playground without gloves, hats, boots, etc. Please make sure your child comes to school with all of their winter gear.

12/20-Holiday Concert at i4L 2:00 & 6:30

12/21 K-2 Holiday Party. First graders will be asked to bring in treats in for the party. A sign up genius link will be sent out closer to the party

12/21- Regift event in gym 1:00-3:00. We’re looking for volunteers to help with setting up, wrapping presents, etc. Please call the office to let Mrs. Maas know you’re interested. Thank you!!
