Math- Kindergarten will be working on story problems and place value using tens and ones. We've been playing chutes and ladders in class. This is an excellent game for kindergarten math skills. If you have the game, it would be helpful to play it! First grade will be working on counting to 100 and adding multiples of ten. Second grade will be continuing to work on word problems. Next week we'll be practicing two step word problems.

Literacy- We will be continuing Fountas & Pinnell reading level testing next week. During testing we will be reviewing the concepts taught this year through read alouds, and on Raz Kids on the Ipads.

Project Time- Next week students will be designing a shoe that will be suitable for their environment. Students will be doing this in small groups. The different environments we've been researching are Arctic, Rainforest, African Savannah, and Desert. We're also looking for volunteers to help with this project Monday or Tuesday from 2:30-3:30. Thanks!

Other News:

Just a reminder that students have access through the library link to ebooks and tumblebooks on the Kewaskum Webpage. This is a great resource!

Wednesday, February 14th- k-2 Valentine's Day Party. First grade will be asked to provide snacks. We're asking that you not write names on Valentine's to make passing them out go more smoothly. If you have a first graders, watch for the sign up genius link in your email.
