Week of January 22nd-25th
Our focus this week was on the story by Jan Brett called The Mitten. We laced a mitten, practiced one to one correspondence using snowflakes and mittens, retold the story using cut out animals and mittens, and yesterday we wore masks of the different animals in the story and acted out the story using a large "mitten".
We also learned the letter Dd, and in Second Step we learned about feeling disappointed and how to react to that feeling.
We also had our last guidance class. We drew pictures of people that we can ask for help if someone is making us feel uncomfortable. We learned about who should touch our body parts and for what reasons (to keep us clean and healthy).
Next week we will practice drawing shapes and writing letters and numbers. We will also do a couple groundhog activities for groundhogs day. We will be learning letter Pp, and in Second Step we will be learning how to manage anger.
Have a great weekend,
