Week of 1/23-1/27
Math- Kindergarten will be working on teen numbers and equations. First grade is working on addition and subtract facts with teen numbers (with unknown numbers). Second grade is still working on the two different methods for borrowing (ungrouping) two digit subtraction.
Literacy- Mrs. Stahl's group new sight words will be: did, not, see, get. Our K-2 mini lessons will focus on poetry. Our mini lessons and small groups will focus on different types of poem, and the pattern and style that's associated with them.
Projects: Next week we'll be doing a star experiment using flashlights to create our own night sky. We will also start exploring UV rays by using special beads to detect the uv rays and find objects that will block out uv light.
PLEASE REMEMBER TO BRING SHOES TO WEAR AT SCHOOL IF YOU COME IN YOUR BOOTS. SNOW PANTS WILL BE REQUIRED EVERYDAY IN THE WINTER MONTHS.
11/27- All School field trip to Milwaukee Public Museum & Planetarium. We will be leaving at 8:50. Please be here on time. Please dress your child is comfortable walking shoes.
We will be celebrating the 100th day of school in the beginning of February. We will be doing some fun activities in class that week.
**Just a heads up, please do not write names on Valentines. It will make passing them out go much quicker this way.
