Principals Message

Here we are already 5 weeks into the 2016-2017 school year!  It’s been a great start so far with many returning, smiling faces and also several new additions to the i4Learning community.  As the weather gets colder and the leaves begin to change colors, we will continue to learn and grow together!
In the classrooms teachers have been working with the students to establish efficient classroom routines and clear expectations.  Students have been participating in math and literacy assessments so teachers have they’re baseline data.  This will allow teachers to set academic goals based on each student's’ starting point.  We’ll measure students progress through multiple means, but our F&P Reading assessments and FastBridge Math test are two measures taken 3 times throughout the school year.
Thank you to those who were able to attend the Annual Meeting & Celebration of Learning on September 15.  If you were not able to make the event you can view the different presentations here - History, Staff, PTO.  This event was a great reminder of the importance of collaboration.  The governance council, PTO board and teaching staff all took part in the presentation and shared valuable information. It’s pretty cool to know we have so many people working to support our small school.
Lastly, we wanted to provide a quick update on some of the new people/new roles involved at i4L.  For new staff members this year we have Mrs. Diane Radmer (K-2 teacher), Mrs. Brittany Ward (Music teacher), Mrs. Diana Reichert (Paraprofessional)  Our new governance council members are: Mr. Kory Dogs, Mrs. Dodie Sargent and Mrs. Janet Kohlwey.  These council members have been elected to 3 year terms. The new council officers are Jason Staffin (President) and Kory Dogs (Vice President).  For the i4L PTO board members we now have Rachel Maas and Karen Krueser (Co-Presidents), Jacky Alles (secretary) and Tracy Heinonen (Treasurer).
Just a reminder that as we get into the colder mornings & days, please be sure to send your children with proper attire for being outside.  We really try to get them outside during recess and for gym class as often as possible.

Thank you,

Mr. Joel Dziedzic
i4L Principal

Address Changes—Have you moved recently? If so, please ensure your child’s school has been informed. You can update your address information using Skyward Family Access or by contacting the secretary at your school with the new address information. Moves outside of the Kewaskum district do not prohibit your child from completing the current school year in our district. However, they do necessitate an additional form to be completed and your school secretary will be able to assist you with that.
Family Changes—If you have had a change in your family which may affect one parent’s contact information, please contact your child’s school secretary to update this information.

Child Development Day - 10/28 Child development days provide parents with information about how their child’s development compares with general developmental expectations.  To schedule an appointment for your child aged 2 years, 9 months and older please call 262-626-8427 ext 8012.
