Week of 12/12-12/16
Math- Kindergarten will be learning about attributes of shapes and sorting shapes. First grade will be working on place value and fact families. Second grade will be learning about 3d shapes and their attributes. They will also continue measuring with centimeters and learn how to measure in inches.
Literacy- Mrs. Stahl's group will be introduced to three new sight words: here, what, this. Next week we will be learning about character traits and comparing and contrasting different familiar characters.
Projects: For the next two weeks we will be learning about how other countries celebrate different holidays. We will be focusing on Hanukkah and Kwanzaa. The countries we will focus on are Germany, Sweden, China, Spain, and Australia. If you have anything you'd like to share that might be helpful to us, please let us know.
PLEASE REMEMBER TO BRING SHOES TO WEAR AT SCHOOL IF YOU COME IN YOUR BOOTS. SNOW PANTS WILL BE REQUIRED EVERYDAY IN THE WINTER MONTHS.
