Week of October 11th-14th
Math- Kindergarten will be working on math stories (addition and subtraction). First grade is working on subtraction word problems and circle drawings. Second grade will be working on identifying word problems that don't have enough information/ unneeded information.
Literacy- Mrs. Stahl's group started guided reading groups yesterday. They will also be introduced to three new sight words: she, to, my. K-2 mini lessons and small groups will focus on identifying setting (where and when the story takes place). FastBridge results will be shared at conferences.
Projects: Next week Wednesday is the K-2 cohort's field trip to the Building for Kids. We will leave by 9am and return around 3:30pm. Please pack a bad lunch if you/ your child did not go order a school cold lunch. If you are chaperoning the field trip, please bring along a bag/ backpack to hold your groups lunch (each chaperone will have 4 students).
Mr. and Mrs. Alles were kind enough to come in to present about being engineers (and shared some of their inventions). The kids really enjoyed this!
