Week of May 8th-12th
Math- Kindergarten and first grade will be continuing to work on money (counting and identifying coins). 2nd grade will be working on addition and subtraction word problems in the hundreds place. We will be finishing up the unit next week.
Literacy- K-2 mini lessons will focus on asking and answering questions before, during, and after reading. We will review question words and decide if the answers are within the text or beyond text. We will use text evidence to answer questions within the text.
Projects: We are continuing with Pushes and Pulls and different forces. This week we will focus on collusion and set up stations to use hands on activities to explore this concept. You should have received an email if you were chosen to be a chaperone for a group and ride the bus. Anyone else that's interested, is welcome to meet us there around 11:00. We will have a picnic lunch outside of the museum from 11-11:45. Your admission will be covered if you check in with the group and enter the museum with us. If you were chosen, please confirm with me so I know you are still available and that you saw my email.
5/9- Grandparents day, book fair- starts at 11:15. They will be rotating through three stations in the K-2 cohort.
5/9- Spring concert and Bake Sale- 2:00 & 6:30 pm. Students should arrive at 6:15 and report to their classroom.
5/10- Bike to School Day
5/12- Dress up Day chosen by Ben! (Dress up like a packer or your favorite sports team)
5/12- PTO flower pick up
