March Newletter

Principal's Message

March is here and looks to be roaring in like a lion! At least that means good news for the end of the month, right?!?!  We've had a lot of exciting things going on this past month and coming up. Both cohorts have been learning about different aspects of space. They've both had an opportunity to experience virtual field experiences with the Challenge Learning Center and Space Center Houston.

During the month of February we also instituted character lessons from Core Essentials. Throughout the month teachers and students discussed the virtue of RESPECT.  Our virtue for the month of March is FORGIVENESS.  Say tuned as we will be sure to share out some of the videos and lessons via the weekly updates & reminders

We are very excited for our upcoming Spaghetti Dinner and Gallery Night! The students and teachers are looking forward to the opportunity to share out some of their learning and projects that have been going on throughout trimester 2.  We would like all students and families to come to the gallery night whether or not they will be eating spaghetti.  This is our chance for the students to present their work to an authentic audience and talk about their learning a very valuable part of the learning experience.

Do you use Facebook?  If yes, hopefully you have already been following our i4Learning Community School page.  We typically post different pictures and events that are happening around the school on a weekly basis.  There is also a space on our page that allows Facebook users to rate and review our school.  We've had 6 reviews thus far and would love to have a few more.  If you're interested and willing to complete a review, please check out our page on Facebook.

Have a wonderful month of March!  Hopefully when I'm working on next month's update we'll be seeing some of the beautiful tulips starting to come up in front of the school :-)
