Week of 16th-19th

Math- Kindergarten will be working on math stories and partners of ten. First grade is working on addition and subtract facts with teen numbers. Second grade is still working on counting coins and dollars bills. We are also working on the two different methods for borrowing (ungrouping) two digit subtraction.

Literacy- Mrs. Stahl's group new sight words will be: him, no, where. Our K-2 mini lessons will focus on Martin Luther King Jr. and Inauguration Day. 

Projects: Next week we'll begin learning about stars and the night sky as part of our PLTW unit on Light: Sun, moon & stars. We will use flash lights to make a model of the night sky. If you have a flash light, could you please send one in for your child to use on Wednesday (be sure to label it). 

Upcoming Events:

PLEASE REMEMBER TO BRING SHOES TO WEAR AT SCHOOL IF YOU COME IN YOUR BOOTS. SNOW PANTS WILL BE REQUIRED EVERYDAY IN THE WINTER MONTHS. 

There is NO SCHOOL on Friday, January 20th. 

11/27- All School field trip to Milwaukee Public Museum & Planetarium. If you haven't turned in your child's permission slip, please do so Monday. They were due today.
