3-5 Cohort Tiny Houses and Weather Instruments
During math this week, a group of students showcased their Tiny Houses. These houses were created as part of a small group project they worked on during our math workshop. The other students loved taking a look at the tiny furniture, walls, floors and roofs. Students that presented explained how they used their houses to learn about perimeter and area-as well as design and architecture.
We began our newest project-Weather! This week we introduced students to the world of weather forecasting! Students worked within groups to create a weather instrument they had researched earlier in the week. Next week we will track the information that is gathered using a Google Sheet, which will allow students to study patterns that they notice.
