January Newsletter

Principals Message

Yay!  The Holiday is here and it's almost 2017!  We've had a lot happening the past few weeks since our last newsletter.  A huge shout out to Mrs. Ward and the students and staff for a wonderful Christmas program on December 8.  They sounded great and were enthusiastically energized with holiday spirit!  Thank you to everyone who came and enjoyed the show as well.  A lot of thank yous also for our wonderful family & community support in all these different events the past month: Wreath and Poinsettia Sale, Holiday Cookie Sale, Book Fair, Pins and Magnets Project, the Giving Tree, the School Re-Gift Event, Classroom Volunteers and anything else I may have missed.  We really do appreciate the community support and it's a huge contributor to our overall positive school culture.

On Friday, December 16, CESA6 Region superintendents held their monthly meeting at i4Learning. The superintendents met in the cafeteria to discuss different educational initiatives and issues happening throughout the state.  The second half of the meeting was focused on learning more about innovation and the different learning environment at i4Learning. Myself and the teachers provided a short presentation on i4L and then they spent roughly 15 minutes visiting the classrooms and seeing the multi-age learning in action.  They were very appreciative of the opportunity to see our school and shared lots of positive comments on the learning taking place.

Earlier this month we shared out a parent survey.  Over the past few years we've done this twice annually to gauge parent satisfaction and areas of focus.  Thank you to everyone who has already taken the time to complete the survey. If you have not completed the survey, please click here to do so.

I hope you all have a wonderful Christmas!  While it really is such a great time of year, it can also be quite stressful. Be sure to take time to be thankful for the really important things in life (especially your/our children).  It's too easy to get caught up in the hustle and bustle of everyday life and forget what's truly most important.  Let's bring in the New Year with renewed energy and focus to make the world a better place.  We have a lot to be thankful for and we have a lot of great things to look forward to!

Thank you for all that you do for our students, school and community!

Address Changes—Have you moved recently? If so, please ensure your child’s school has been informed. You can update your address information using Skyward Family Access or by contacting the secretary at your school with the new address information. Moves outside of the Kewaskum district do not prohibit your child from completing the current school year in our district. However, they do necessitate an additional form to be completed and your school secretary will be able to assist you with that.

Family Changes—If you have had a change in your family which may affect one parent’s contact information, please contact your child’s school secretary to update this information.
