Week of October 17th-21st

Math- Kindergarten will be working on math stories and sequencing numbers 1-10. First grade is working on making connections between addition and subtractions and fact families. First grade unit test will be at the end of next week. Second grade will be working on more complex word problems (two step word problems).

Literacy- Mrs. Stahl's group will also be introduced to three new sight words: an, up, it. K-2 mini lessons and small groups will focus on beginning, middle, end. The higher students will also work on summarizing. FastBridge results will be shared at conferences. 

Projects: Next week for science we will be using a thermometer to find the best conductors and insulators of heat. We will be designing the prototype that the group will be using to save a frozen dessert from melting so quickly.
